Music | Cage the Elephant - Tell Me I'm Pretty

Coming at 'cha with another music recommendation. This time it's Cage the Elephant's Tell Me I'm Pretty. I discovered this band under "new releases" section on Spotify and I'm not at all disappointed! 

The music is very similar to what I was obsessed with back in junior year of college–that alternative, indie soft rock. Cage the Elephant's style and sound reminds me a lot of Portugal. The Man and Young the Giant. So if that's your thing, definitely give this album a listen! I'm VERY obsessed with the song "Too Late to Say Goodbye" right now. 

Music | Halsey - Badlands

I figure I will share my current favorite album on here since my blog's just become a space in which I can talk about things that I love at the moment. This is my favorite album, Badlands by Halsey. I know I'm not the first person to like Halsey (she had a great set at Coachella from what I remember). But her new album just came out recently and I immediately jumped on it after hearing her most popular song New Americana. 

I love the way she experiments with music, beats, and sounds and I love her voice. If you haven't heard of her, you should definitely give her album Badlands a listen. And if you don't know where to start or don't want to commit to the entire album in one sitting, I highly recommend the songs Castle, Colors, and Strange Love. Of course, also listen to New Americana because that's the song most people know her by. I promise your ears won't regret it!
