This here is my exfoliator, the Origins Modern Friction. Let me just say, however, this is not a cheap product. I actually bought this from Macy's early this year and the lady didn't tell me how much it was until she rang me up at check out. (I'm also not one of those people who look at the price tags of my make up/skin care products before I buy it.)
Anyways, prior to this, I was using the Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Face Polish and that served me well for 3 or so years. But I was feeling that it was becoming too rough for my skin. I decided to switch to a new product and I had a little phase where I was obsessed with Origins products.
This product is more of a face wash with microdermabrasion beads than a scrub. The lady explained to me that I could use this on a dry face if I wanted a deeper exfoliation or mix it with water if I had sensitive skin. I don't think I have super sensitive skin, but I decided to use it with water rather than directly applying it on my face because I don't like having products tug at my face.
Although this product feels like a face wash and gets soapy like a face wash, it's still a scrub after all. I use this once a week and no more. I will get a little bit on my hands and wet the product before lathering it onto my face. It smells great and does a pretty good job keeping the dead skin off my face.
The only downside of this product is that it burns when you accidentally get it in your eyes. There's a hint of mint to the scrub so make sure to wash it all off your eyes before you open them. Since I use this once a week, I can see this lasting me for years. $39.50 over 3 years? That's not too bad.
