Lifestyle | 676 Candles Co.

For those who know me (or may not know), I am a candle FANATIC. Here's a candle I picked up from my trip a month or so ago to the Treasure Island Flea Market in San Francisco. 676 Candles Co. in Marigold. These retail at $8 a pop which isn't at all bad considering some candles are $22 (Bath and Body Works) and $35+ (Yankee Candles) for scents that are grossly overwhelming. I actually bought 3 different scents (Marigold, Brul, and Sayonara) last time I went because there was some special going on and let me just say, I am not at all disappointed in myself for purchasing these.

Marigold is definitely my favorite scent of the 3 because it just smells so fresh and clean like washed linens (hence the scent white linen and talc). The other two also have a fresh scent (Brul: green tea and lemongrass and Sayonara: Japanese bamboo). But Marigold is so heavenly I sometimes just sit by my lit candle just so I can inhale the scent.

In terms of burn time, the lady at the market told me these tin cans should last me around 30 to 35 hours. The wick doesn't leave a smoke trail when you blow it out which is amazing because you get to preserve the scent of the candle and not that smoke and ash smell once you blow it out like candles you buy from Bath and Body Works nawimsayin?

The only complaint that I have about these candles is that they don't settle well when they dry. It burns evenly but the wax becomes this ugly and bumpy mess when it settles. Maybe that's something particular to soy candles? I have no idea.

But overall, these candles are 100%. Best thing is that they're sold online. I can say that I'm definitely going to purchase more of these when I run out!
